Houston, Texas – May 9, 2022 – Harney Partners, a national corporate turnaround and restructuring advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Frank Cottrell has joined the firm as Director. Based in Houston, TX, Cottrell will provide strategic leadership and support to client advisory engagements throughout the country.
Cottrell brings experience from diverse organizations and industries ranging from private equity-backed portfolio companies to public entities. He has held multiple leadership roles with critical P&L responsibilities, including serving as interim CFO. He specializes in middle-market, debtor-side engagements and has a history of obtaining favorable outcomes in out-of-court negotiations, effectively preserving and maximizing value for all involved parties.

Prior to Harney Partners, Cottrell was a director for a leading, publicly traded middle-market restructuring financial advisory firm and has been involved in over $5B+ of distressed and turnaround transactions. His industry experience includes energy, manufacturing, oilfield services, refining, construction, government contracting, engineering, consumer services, financial services, tort litigation, education, retail, restaurant, medical, technology and real estate.
Cottrell earned his Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his MBA at Rice University.
