Leadership Promotion to Support Firm’s Continued Growth Strategies
Chicago, IL – Harney Partners, a national, corporate turnaround and restructuring advisory firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Paul Dubuque to Managing Director. In this expanded leadership role, Dubuque will continue to focus on providing financial and operational advisory services to companies in transition and distressed situations, while driving firm growth strategies and client delivery enhancement.

Paul is an accomplished leader with 30+ years of experience, including twelve with a Big 4 firm supporting companies in a variety of industries including banking, fintech, SaaS, health & wellness, food & beverage, and wholesale commercial distribution. He has held interim executive roles as CEO, CFO and CRO, as well as advisory roles to management teams, boards and lenders.
He is highly skilled at supporting organizations through periods of transition, including turnarounds, restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. His recent experiences include stabilizing and realigning a third-generation wholesaler that suffered under COVID, returning a $130 million heavy equipment retailer to profitability and engineering the successful turnaround of a previously insolvent $400 million distributor of building materials.
Paul has led more than 80 corporate transactions involving the sale, merger and formation of financial entities, including the very first private equity fund to become a bank holding company. He has also helped form, fund or acquire an additional two dozen commercial entities across eight industries.
He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters of Accountancy from Saint Louis University and a BS in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Richmond.
